In addition to certifying a translation, a translation can also be provided with an apostille. An apostille authenticates the signature of the certified or sworn translator. It is valid in countries that are members of the Apostille Treaty. We can arrange an apostille for your translation for an additional cost and slightly longer delivery time.

The apostille is recognized by countries that are members of the Apostille Treaty (The Hague Convention of October 5th 1961). Countries are continuously being added to this treaty. You can see a recent list of countries that recognize the apostille at hcch.e-vision.nl/index_en.php?act=conventions.status&cid=41. An apostille is sufficient for legal acceptance of the translation. Apostilles can be issued in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch, and looks like a label with a seal and signature from the court.
